And that if you hope to beat them, you have to give yourself better odds.Here is what I mean…No matter how high your grades are, how many activities you did after school, or volunteering you did in the summer.What really distinguishes you apart from all the other people who did the exact same things and are applying to the exact afni same money you want?Nothing!So what do you do?You increase your odds by applying for money that few people would qualify for, and fits your situation in a unique way.For example, you might find a small business out there offering to give free money for school to a student who is a minority and a musician.Or a bank, that has a scholarship for males of Jewish background who was raised by a single mother.See how unique the circumstances are?The fewer people that can qualify for the free school money, the better chance you have of taking it home.Now, this doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t apply for the larger, more well known college funding resources. What Im saying is that you shouldn’t make those your primary focus anymore…Use the thousands of scholarships sites on the web to find little known and unique to your situation money.
